Jennifer has explored various forms of art all her life. Starting the piano at the age of five, she grew into a talented and sensitive musician. After finishing many musical studies, she realized that she was drawn to visual art, especially things made of glass; the crystal clarity, the magical capturing of color and light, the elusiveness, fragility and strength combined into one.
After more than a decade of working with stained glass, she moved into glass beadmaking. Her glass jewelry was the result of a long evolution of experimentation to find her own unique expression in glass.
Her present jewelry unites her love of vibrant color, the reflective qualities and organic nature of metal.
Jennifer’s jewelry is created in her studio in Seattle, Washington. She cuts each piece from sheets of anodized aluminum and incorporates brass, sterling silver, pearls, and niobium into each handcrafted piece.
The demands she places on herself to create quality work are seen in her attention to detail.
What informs her style is a desire to create beauty in this world, tangible wearable beauty, for others to touch, to hold, and to wear. Elegance and whimsy are two qualities she aims to convey in her creations – lightness and fun, beauty and richness.
